Field Testers Needed - New Diskeeper Boot-time Defrag

We have a new version of the Diskeeper Boot-time defragmenter very close to release. We're looking for some current Diskeeper 2008 customers interested in testing this new "defrag engine". We spent significant time and energy re-designing this feature from the ground up, and are excited with the results we've seen in our internal testing.

If participating in these pre-release quality tests is of interest to you (it will really help us out and speed up getting this update officially released to everyone) please email our Quality Control group at qtesting@diskeeper.com. Please add "Boot-time Defrag Tester" in the subject line and also let them know, in the body of the email, what operating system(s) you will be able to test on.

We expect the field test to start early next week and run for 1-2 weeks, so act quickly if you want to participate.

If you are still testing, I would love to be involved. I am running Diskeeper 2008 on Vista SP1 and have a fragmented pagefile. Thank you.

Hi Will,

You can email our field test group with a request. If this one is closed they may have another field test of interest to you. Thanks for the offer to help!

I hope this update include the ability to defrag that journal file, you know what file. I am using [another product] for that reason. Fix/Upgrade offline defrag and I will forget [the other product] even exists.

Any progress?

I have Vista SP1 and waiting for Boot-time defragmenter.

The field test is wrapping as we have fixed all the kinks that came up - my thanks to those who helped test. I expect we'll release this feature in mid-late September.

We are working on handling the USN Journal file (interacting with the MS file system team on this as well). Whether or not it makes it in the September-ish release is not yet determined. When the update comes out, I'll post the feature details here on the blog.

I just purchased Diskeeper 2008 HOME to instal on a Vista Home premium. I do not even get an option to enable boot tome. It is not shown on the toolbar or in the system volume (or right clicking on the volume label) I bought a 2-pack and installed it on one machine - works great. Seconds machine - not good as described above.

I would love to test the BETA

Is the boot-time revamp done yet?
I have been checking for updates for quite some time now...
